What you’ll be able to do
By the end, you can…
How it works
A tutor that meets you where you are
- Lessons that adapt to your levelEach lesson is a hands-on tutorial you follow with Manus open. Lessons adjust to what you already know, so an experienced AD or post coordinator isn't walked through breakdown basics, and a newcomer to agents gets more help with setup.
- An AI tutor you can ask anythingAsk questions typed or out loud while you work. For example, why a connector should be read-only, or how to word a stop point for the script supervisor.
- Quizzes and flashcards for every lessonShort quizzes and flashcards tied to each lesson help the safe settings, the brief template and the checking routine stick.
- Progress tracking and a certificateTrack your progress through the 30 lessons and receive a certificate of completion when you finish.
Curriculum
The curriculum
Thirty lessons in nine modules. You'll decide whether Manus fits, set it up safely for a production, and learn to brief long tasks. Then you'll work through four projects built around scene forty-two, and finish with scheduled tasks, team use and a checking routine that ends in sign-off.

Who it’s for
Made for you if…
Made for: Filmmakers, producers, editors and production teams coordinating a story across development, planning and post-production
Producers, line producers and directors who run their own development
You'll hand Manus location, permit and festival research, plus a pitch deck with verified comparables, labeled reference frames and no implied cast attachments.
First and second ADs and production coordinators
You'll get first-pass breakdowns and schedule drafts that mark explicit facts apart from implied requirements and leave the conflicts for the 1st AD to resolve.
Script supervisors
You'll build blue-page change reports that update only the affected scenes, cite the revision, and stop to ask you about duplicate or misdated drafts.
Editors and post coordinators
You'll learn to share work with Guest reviewers, replay sessions and sign outputs off, so a draft never quietly becomes the baseline.
Questions
Good to know
Do I need a paid Manus plan?
You need a Manus account, and you must be 18 or older. The Free plan works for the early lessons. Wide Research, slides and more than 2 scheduled tasks need Pro or Team. As of October 28, 2026, Pro starts at $20 or $40 a month and Team at $20 a seat a month. Prices change, so check manus.im/pricing before you commit.
Can I use my production's real script?
Only with written approval from your production. For practice, use material you're allowed to upload, such as sample pages, a public-domain script or your own non-confidential draft. Module 2 covers what should never go into Manus, including unapproved scripts and cuts, performer and private crew records, and credentials.
What do I need to know already?
You should know script format and how a breakdown, a schedule and editorial notes are built on a production. You don't need any experience with AI agents.
Is Manus still part of Meta?
No. Manus has operated independently of Meta since September 2026. Lesson 1 covers what Manus is today, including the Manus 2.0 modes.
Will this course teach me to generate shots or synthetic performers?
No. It doesn't cover final shots, synthetic performers, or anyone's likeness or voice. AI images appear only as labeled reference frames for a lookbook, with no real likenesses.
Does it cover teaser editing or NLE workflows?
No. Cutting in the Studio Video Editor and finishing in an NLE are out of scope, and Manus has no Adobe connector.
Will it advise me on guild contracts, clearances or permits?
No. The course doesn't give legal advice on SAG-AFTRA or other guild terms, clearances or permits. You'll learn to research permit requirements from official sources and confirm them with the film office. Budgeting and confirming cast or crew availability also stay with people.
