Hand Manus your release paperwork, then check every page before it goes out

For Artists, producers, managers and music teams responsible for creative decisions, release preparation and the details that connect them

Everything for Music teams

Set up Manus safely for one release. Brief it on a rollout timeline, a curator list, a one-sheet and deck, and an EPK site. Check each one against your records before anyone relies on it.

What you’ll be able to do

By the end, you can…

Decide whether Manus fits your release workLearn what Manus is as of October 28, 2026, including who can get it, how Free, Pro and Team compare, and how credits get spent. Manus doesn't estimate a task's cost before it starts, so you'll plan a credit budget without one. Prices change, so you'll confirm them on manus.im/pricing.
Set up one Project per release, safelyWrite a master instruction, add only approved reference files and connect your tools at the narrowest scope that works. Unreleased masters, stems, contracts, splits, royalty statements and contributors' personal details stay out of Manus.
Brief Manus on long, multi-step release workEach brief names the artist's fixed element and lists the approved facts. Every missing or disputed field gets an owner. Manus has to stop before it logs in, contacts anyone, sends, posts, publishes or deletes.
Produce four release deliverables, each with a source tableMake a backward-planned timeline with lead times cited from your distributor's own site. Then make a curator, press and venue list from public submission pages, a one-sheet and pitch deck checked against the credits sheet, and an EPK website that you publish yourself.
Run a weekly check and work as a teamSchedule a weekly release check with Skip confirmations off. It reports overdue items, stale dates and superseded assets and messages no one. You'll share work through Team access and Guest seats, know who can see which tasks and keep your own copies of every deliverable.
Check the output before anyone uses itReplay the session and open every file. Trace each name and credit back to the records you supplied. Catch old dates and artwork before the public sees them, and know when a platform fault qualifies for a credit refund.

How it works

A tutor that meets you where you are

  1. Lessons that adapt to youThere are 27 lessons, and they adjust to your level. You might have run a dozen releases or be preparing your first, and you might be new to agents or already comfortable with chat tools. Either way, the lessons meet you where you are.
  2. Hands-on, with Manus openEach lesson is a tutorial you follow in the product. It has a goal, a list of what you need, numbered steps, copy-paste briefs written for release work, a checkpoint that shows it worked and what to do when it didn't. Where the Manus screen may differ, the lesson tells you.
  3. An AI tutor you can ask anythingType or speak your question while you work, such as how to word a stop rule or what to do when a connector won't take a read-only scope. You'll get an answer for your situation.
  4. Quizzes and flashcards for every lessonShort quizzes and flashcards go with each lesson, so the settings, limits and checking steps stick.
  5. Progress tracking and a certificateTrack your progress through the nine modules and earn a certificate of completion when you finish.

Curriculum

The curriculum

The course follows one practice release from start to finish. You'll decide whether Manus fits, set it up safely, learn to brief it and then build four real deliverables. It ends with a weekly check, team sharing and a checking routine you can use on every output.

Who it’s for

Made for you if…

Made for: Artists, producers, managers and music teams responsible for creative decisions, release preparation and the details that connect them

Independent artists running their own release

You handle the dates, credits, artwork and pitching yourself, and you want help with the paperwork while you keep every creative call.

Managers working with one artist or a small roster

You connect the creative decisions to the release details. You need briefs that stop Manus before anything is sent or published, plus a weekly check that catches what's overdue.

Producers who end up holding the credits

You know who played what and who wrote what. You'll learn to keep composition and recording credits apart and to trace every name in a deck or site back to the credits sheet.

Small labels and music teams, such as a label of three

You need to share work through Team access and Guest seats, know who can see which tasks and keep unreleased masters and contracts out of the tool.

Questions

Good to know

Do I need a paid Manus plan?

No. Free is enough to start. Wide Research, slides and site deployment need Pro, which the Manus help center listed as starting at $20 a month as of October 28, 2026. Prices change, so check manus.im/pricing before you subscribe. The course shows a smaller version of the research project that works on Free.

Is Manus available where I live?

Not necessarily. Manus doesn't publish an official list of supported countries, access from mainland China has been blocked since mid-2025, and you must be 18 or older. Confirm at sign-up that Manus is offered in your country. The course doesn't cover ways around regional limits.

Will Manus send my pitches, post for me or deliver to my distributor?

No. The course doesn't cover automatic submission, posting or sending. Every brief tells Manus to stop for your approval before it logs in, contacts anyone, sends, posts, publishes or deletes. You send the pitches and publish the EPK yourself.

Can I upload my unreleased masters or contracts?

The course teaches you not to. Unreleased masters, stems, contracts, splits, royalty statements and contributors' personal details stay out. Before you start, you'll build a practice release folder that holds no confidential material.

Does the course cover making music, lyrics or vocals with AI?

No. It doesn't cover generating music, lyrics or vocals for release, voice cloning, soundalikes, the ElevenLabs connector, or mixing, mastering and stem separation. The course is about the release work around the song.

Will it give me legal advice on splits or sample clearance?

No. It doesn't give legal advice on contracts, splits, sample clearance or AI copyright. It does show you how to mark disputed credits as open and give each one an owner, so they don't turn into approved facts by accident.

What do I need before I start?

You need experience preparing or helping prepare at least one release, a Manus account and basic comfort with a spreadsheet and a task tool such as Notion or Asana. You also need a practice release folder with artist notes, an approved fact sheet, a credits sheet, approved photos you have rights to and a target date.

Is Manus still owned by Meta?

No. Meta bought Manus in December 2025, and the deal was then withdrawn. Manus said it resumed independent operations on September 1, 2026, and released Manus 2.0 on September 28, 2026. Older guides and screenshots may be out of date.
