Hand Grok Bot your routine brand prep, and keep every approval yourself

For Canva creators, small-business owners, marketers and brand teams producing presentations, social assets and short videos

Everything for Canva creators

For Canva creators and brand teams: set up Grok Bot with the least access that works, write its instructions, and run four tested bots that prepare on-brand work for you to check before anything ships.

What you’ll be able to do

By the end, you can…

Choose the right tool for the jobTell Grok Bot apart from a Custom Agent in the Grok chat app and from a bot built on the Grok API, and decide which one fits a given piece of recurring content work. You'll also learn to check whether your plan includes Grok Bot on the official pricing page. Premium, Super, Ultra and Teams seats do. Free and the $8 Plus tier don't.
Set it up with the least access that worksKeep Auto-review on and add Ask first rules for publishing, sharing, scheduling, downloading for print orders and purchases. Set Execution on this computer to Never allow, save no cards in Vault, and switch off every app tool the bot doesn't need.
Write instructions a bot can followTurn your one-page brief, facts sheet and written brand rules into a setup message. It gives the bot one job and names its sources. It sorts every action into always fine, ask every time or never, and it tells the bot to leave gaps blank and stop instead of guessing.
Build four bots for your standing workBuild, save as skills, schedule and test four bots: design request intake, a week of product post drafts from your sheet, a campaign resize set with a brand check, and a release check that flags stale exports and missing approvals after a late change.
Share a bot with your team in SlackCheck which apps, secrets and files go with a Team Bot before you share it. Give each person the right role, then bring the bot into your team's Slack.
Review the work before anyone publishesCheck what the bots did using run history, source links, screenshots and file names. Open the actual exports instead of trusting the record, and approve or return each item. Then record which named person publishes it.

How it works

A tutor that meets you where you are

  1. Lessons that adapt to your levelEvery lesson is a step-by-step walkthrough you follow with Grok Bot and Canva open. The explanations adjust to where you are, whether you've never set up an agent or you already use Grok chat every day.
  2. An AI tutor you can ask anythingIf a menu on your screen doesn't match the lesson or a bot does something unexpected, type or say your question and the tutor answers in the context of your own work.
  3. Quizzes and flashcards for each lessonShort quizzes and flashcards tied to each lesson help you keep the details straight, such as which plans include Grok Bot, what Auto-review doesn't cover and which actions should always ask first.
  4. Progress tracking and a certificateTrack your progress through all 32 lessons and pick up where you left off. You get a certificate of completion when you finish.

Curriculum

The curriculum

The course follows the order you'd actually work in. You decide whether Grok Bot fits, set it up safely, write its instructions, then build four bots one at a time. It ends with sharing a bot with your team and reviewing everything the bots did before a person publishes it.

Module 1Is Grok Bot Right for Your Brand Work?3 lessons

  1. 1Three Things Called Grok Bots
    • Explain what a Grok Bot is and what its shared cloud computer does
    • Compare Grok Bot, a Custom Agent and an API-built bot on actions, running while you're away, setup and billing
    • Spot the official URLs and avoid look-alike sites such as grok-bots.com
  2. 2Does Your Standing Canva Job Fit a Bot?
    • Choose the right option for a given recurring content task and justify the choice
    • List which of your standing jobs (intake, post drafts, resize sets, brand checks, release checks) are preparation work and which need you
    • Write a one-line rule for what never leaves your hands
  3. 3Plans, Prices and the Weekly Usage Pool
    • Identify whether a given plan includes Grok Bot
    • Explain how routines and Bot replies draw from the weekly usage pool
    • Check current eligibility and prices on x.ai/pricing before buying

    • Use takeover for a sign-in step without pasting secrets into chat
  4. 7Set Approval Rules and Switch Off Tools You Don't Need
    • Write Ask first rules covering publish, share, schedule, export or download (including for a print order) and purchase
    • Disable send, post, delete and payment tools a Bot doesn't need

  5. 8Lock Down Your Computer, Vault and Notifications
    • Configure local execution, traffic routing and Vault to the course's baseline
    • Turn on per-Bot notifications
    • Explain why saved cards are not allowed in this course

  1. 9Prepare the Brief, Facts Sheet and Brand Rules the Bot Reads

    • Build a facts sheet in Google Sheets with count, sizes, prices, claims, dates and approvals

    • Confirm the Bot stops on a deliberate gap instead of guessing
    • Confirm the Bot treats a planted instruction as data
    • Review and correct the Bot's memory

Who it’s for

Made for you if…

Made for: Canva creators, small-business owners, marketers and brand teams producing presentations, social assets and short videos

A one-person template shop owner

You prepare bundles, previews and launch posts on your own. You want a bot to handle the repetitive prep without wrong counts or stale exports going out under your shop's name.

A small-business owner who posts products every week

You keep prices and offers in a spreadsheet. You want post drafts that use only those prices and claims, filled into copies of your Canva templates, and you want to approve them before anything goes out.

A marketer or brand team member taking requests in Slack

Requests arrive incomplete and duplicated. You want an intake bot that leaves missing details blank, never promises deadlines and gives you a clear summary every Friday.

A brand lead responsible for approvals

You need written rules for what bots may and may not do, a release check that catches stale files after a late change, and a record of who approved and who publishes each item.

Questions

Good to know

Which plan do I need?

As of 28 October 2026, new customers get Grok Bot with Premium ($30 a month), Super ($100) or Ultra ($200), or a Teams seat at the same per-seat prices. Free and the $8 Plus plan don't include it. Don't confuse Plus with SuperGrok Plus, which is an older Grok plan that does include it. Prices and plans change, so check x.ai/pricing before you buy. The course doesn't include a Grok Bot subscription.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Everything is done in the Grok Bot app, using plain-language instructions you can copy and adapt. Bots built on the Grok API are compared in the course but not built.

Will the bots publish or schedule posts for me?

No. The course doesn't teach automated publishing, scheduling or purchasing of any kind. The bots prepare drafts, copies and reports, then stop for your approval, and a named person publishes.

Does Grok Bot connect directly to Canva?

A Canva plugin is listed in the Cursor Marketplace, but Grok Bot's own documentation doesn't confirm that it appears in Grok Bot's Connect apps. The course shows you how to check your own Connect apps. If the plugin isn't there, it explains the browser route and what that means for your Canva login.

What do I need before starting?

You need working knowledge of Canva Pro (templates, brand kit, resizing, exporting), brand rules you can write down, and a spreadsheet such as Google Sheets to use as a facts sheet. You also need an eligible plan or the budget for one, and a desktop computer running macOS, Windows or Linux, because testing routines can't be done on a phone.

How long does it take?

About 10 hours across 32 self-paced lessons in 10 modules.

Is this course connected to SpaceXSI, xAI, Cursor or Canva?

No. It's an independent course, and it isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any company it mentions. Grok Bot is in beta and its screens change between versions, so the lessons say when a step is unverified or may look different on your screen.
